For those that still have yet to experience it, or anybody that's looking for the definitive, complete Red Dead Redemption experience all in one package, we're proud to announce that the Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition will be available at retail stores in North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 11th and in Europe on October 14th.

Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition will include the full, original Red Dead Redemption game plus all free and paid downloadable content packs released to date, including the wildly popular Undead Nightmare single and multiplayer offerings, as well as all DLC originally released as pre-order content. This comprehensive package features:

The original full Red Dead Redemption game - winner of over 160 Game of the Year honors - with a brand-new Hardcore single-player difficulty option.

Undead Nightmare: The one-of-a-kind experience that pits John Marston against a sinister zombie outbreak, along with its Undead Overrun survival-based Multiplayer Mode.

The Legends and Killers Multiplayer Pack: Adds to the Red Dead multiplayer experience with nine additional active Competitive mode map locations tailored for multiplayer action, 8 playable characters from Red Dead Revolver, the devastating Tomahawk weapon and more.

The Liars and Cheats Multiplayer Pack: Massively expands Free Roam multiplayer with Multiplayer Poker, Liar's Dice, Horse Racing with Combat and a slew of additional Gang Hideouts and Hunting Grounds.  Plus it adds the action-packed Stronghold mode to Competitive Multiplayer.

The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack: Six explosive and epic Cooperative Multiplayer missions to play with 2-4 players.

All the original pre-release pre-order content, including the Deadly Assassin Outfit, War Horse, and Golden Guns Weapon Pack plus the Hunting and Trading Outfits Pack featuring two additional outfits with corresponding gameplay challenges.

The Solomon’s Folly single player gang hideout and challenges (available for the first time on Xbox 360).

The just released Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack that features new fan-favorite multiplayer characters and all-new multiplayer locations to battle in.

I hope that there is a patch for the regular game that adds hardcore singleplayer.

Still, I'll probably end up buying this for display.

I don't think I need this.  I played the game, played Undead Nightmare, and got all of the DLCs.

The only way I can see getting this is if multiplayer characters are added to free roam in singleplayer after the game is 100% complete or something.

Just turn off auto aim in single player and hey presto, HC SP.

Thats what I would like to know!  Considering that we didn't see any new hideouts in this last DLC, it would be nice if we could get Folly added to the XBOX 360 version without having to buy the game AGAIN just for that one addition.  I might be willing to buy the GOTY version for that one extra hideout and to support RockStar SanDiego, but I know that none of the folks I play the game with are going to do the same, so I will only be able to play  the Soloman's Folley hideout by myself.

Hm ... I dunno if I should get this or not. It sounds very appealing, but I already own a copy of RDR. Splurging on a double copy seems kinda ... too much, unless you're an avid, crazy collector.

But, then again, I bought the UN disc, and I love it.

Auugghhh, I'll probably end up getting this, just for convenience (pop one disc in, and you're good to go. When I want to play multiplayer, I have to pop in my UN disc because that has the five DLCs in it).

The GOTY disc would also have all of the DLC on it.

Yes, I know. Like I mentioned, it would be so convenient. A huge package wrapped up nicely!!!! :D

It would be so nice if this game came with a complimentary poster, or a mini gift of some sort. That'd be another incentive that'd lure me in. lol
Rockstar, I heart you like crazy.

I already have the limited edition of RDR and all the DLC on 360, but I wouldn't mind getting the GOTY edition for the PS3.

Always wanted to have a go at it on PS3. Infact that's what I was going to get it on originally, but bought the 360 version, because that's what all my friends have so we could play multiplayer. It may seem like a waste
forking out money again fro the same game twice, but considering how great it is, it's well worth it.

Game Of the Year Edition... GOtYE... Sound it out and it's similar to Got Ya... As in - We just found another way to sucker even more money out of our customers. Kinda rather rude if all you're throwing in that isn't already available is a HC mode for SP... :-/

Sorry... I want more.

Not getting this one.

It's cool that they are doing this, so people that still haven't got this masterpiece can now "redeem" themselves with a nice bonus.
Even if i were interested, i already have the original Red Dead disc for PS3 and i have all the DLC downloaded (except Deadly Assassin, Warhorse e Golden Guns, which i don't really care about) so i don't even need to swap discs.
Hardcore Mode and Solomon Folly should be patched, but i can totally see R* leaving it exclusive to the GOTY version just to boost the sales a bit.
In the end, Solomon Folly (and the extra Walton Outfit) is not worth the pricetag (and i own the PS3 version), and Hardcore Mode while a nice addition for new players, will likely not interest veterans, especially if they have already completed the game to death.

I wonder what Hardcore Mode will be...
It would be cool if:
- No Minimap
- Take Extra Damage for Enemies, Very Easy to Die, Stay Under Cover.
- Can't use Medicine and Dead Eye boosting Items.
- Aiming set to Expert
- An added stamina/hunger that when depletes makes John weaker. To restore it you have to camp in the Wilderness (if you have animal skins to cook) or rest in a safehouse/saloon (if you don't have any animal skins).
- Brightness lowered in the night, so you'll want to play during the day.

I just hope Hardcore Mode gets patched. At least that. If not... well, we can always make our own Hardcore mode by tweaking the options lol.

Hmmm, now thinking about it, what if Hardcore mode was like Fallout: New Vegas's Hardcore mode. I thought of that as soon as you mentioned stamina and hunger.

That would be so cool.

I think the new singleplayer hardcore difficulty should increase the number of gangsters found at the gang hideouts and add in hunting grounds that swarm you with animals.

It'd be hardcore if john marston had to take on multiplayer ganghideouts/hunting grounds all by himself.
Oh yessir!

theres always someone hanging around hangingrock.

Considering i had no trouble clearing Pike's Basin and Tesoro Azul alone in Multiplayer, and in SP Dead Eye slows time, i really don't think it would be that difficult.

Will the the PS3 exclusive walton's gang outfit be included as part of this package?
