And how many of those do look the same?!

And how are you going to get a gun made/used in Japan in 18xx in the USA on a large scale?

Well, they got a bunch of German mouser pistols apparently.

And a few English Winchesters.

I want a follower, skyrim housecarl kind of thing. Someone who follows you around and does what you want them to, shoot people, help you hunt, skin animals, break horses, help you in bar fights, all that, it would be awesome.

Not sure if I want swimming in the game. Swimming is a pain in the ass in open-world games, worst when you're far away from land and you have to swim all the way back (cough jumping out of helicopters in GTA IV and realizing you're about 500 miles away from shore). Thank Saints Row the Third for inventing the 'Teleport to Land' option.

If it's a continuation of Red Dead Redemption, I'd like to see a storyline along the lines of Jack Marston returning from WWI(if I remember correctly, Jack was around 19 when Red Dead ended in 1914) and finding that his ranch has been destroyed or bought-out while he was away(or in danger of one of those two things happening) and his subsequent mission to take down those responsible. Or if they decide to take a darker path, have Jack Marston become a bootlegger of some sort.

If they choose to go with a completely different game universe with different characters, locations, etc. then I'd like to see a protagonist set in the period just after the Civil War. Perhaps a veteran of some sort from the Confederacy. The south was in shambles for quite a while afterwards and that opens up an endless array of possibilities as far as outlaws and corruption. Or set it in the western U.S. and throw in some Indian Wars for good measure....

More customization (Player, House, Horse).  Land and houses for sale.  A larger and less barren map, with more Great Plains and Tall Trees area. Native Americans (keep the idea from San Andreas and Undead Nightmare, I think it's called "spinning plates", areas can get captured or be captured by you or a Native American tribe.). If it's going to be 1900 to 1910 then it needs Teddy Roosevelt. Ability to form a posse with ancillary characters in single player. That and some upgraded graphics (I think a given), and we're good to go.

i want the same a new story for RDR, i have sent endless emails to rockstar games with  ideas and begging and pleading with them for new storys and DLC's everything from adding new gang hideouts to free roam and new co-op missions as end laws to the end was the first ever add on pack for red dead redemption and they have never added anything to it.

my latest load of emails to rockstar are pre-qual storys either before red dead revolver or a few years after it showing a younger john marstons in his old gang and seeing landon ricketts and marshall johnston in there prime

Everyone'll disagree with you, I'm not one of them. I reckon it should be like, a spin off, also detailing (Like 'Chapters') life of Jack in the trenches. Don't think a free-roam first world war games ever been done...

A list of stuff I want to see in the sequel.

-Swimming.
-Larger map.
-Your own ranch, which you can upgrade and do missions in for a small income.
-No modern weapons.
-Character customization in multiplayer.
-Trains and lassos in multiplayer. You have a chance to escape the lasso by mashing Y/Triangle, and you pull out your pistol with dead eye started when you do, if there's a player
nearby. Can't escape when on a moving horse, and they can kick you when you're escaping to stop you.
-Train robbery and being able to operate the brakes.
-More weapons and animals.
-More gambling games.
-More random events.
-More freeroam games, like duels.
-Fighting gangs then claiming their hideouts, where you can run to lay low and defend or capture from other players for in multiplayer. Lawmen would occasionally raid them.
-Ability to form posses and gangs in singleplayer and multiplayer.
-An economy in multiplayer.
-Configurable survival mode where you need to eat, drink, and sleep to survive. Health doesn't regenerate and you suffer from the same effects as npcs, so if you were shot in the
legs you would crawl/hobble to a doctor or use medicine.

I would like having clothing be on an individual basis, not set outfits. The Tailor was almost useless in Red Dead Redemption.

I'm 100% in favor of an eating/drinking/sleeping cycle in the game.

A more oppressive inventory system. :) It was kind of ridiculous how you could carry 22 weapons and an entire general store of goods on your back. I think having a limit of one weapon per holster, and a much smaller carrying limit, would be good. Of course, you could store more on your horse, a LOT more in a wagon, and could buy pouches and bags for more personal carrying space.

We should be able to buy wagons and save them at our safehouses. As a good player, I was disappointed at how rare wagons and carts were... you either had to get them through Random Encounters or steal them.

Followers would be a great addition, and could be implemented like the Friends system in GTA: you have to build up a relationship with them (through drinkin', whorin', gamblin', and huntin') and then they will join you as a companion. Dogs would also be good, mostly for tracking animals (instead of having to use the bait). They could even be directed to sniff out specific animals.

More jobs and activities! If any job or activity ever appears in the missions, it should be doable in the sandbox. Bonnie and Abigail made us do a million cattle ranching jobs, but it's not a side activity! And I would have loved to be able to horse and cart race in Rathskeller Fork outside of the West Dickens missions. Other things could be added; some people have suggested Old West shows, which I think is a good idea.

More crimes. Train robberies were non-existent, and we were limited to one bank robbery (which had to be a nighttime raid). There should be train robberies, bank robberies, rustling, exhuming, moonshining, and anything else you can think of short of rape.

Gang-building! This goes in hand with companions, but some randomly-generated NPC characters you hire. It would be an actual gang if you are low Honor, a vigilante group or posse if you are high Honor.

Bounty hunting was pretty good as it was, but it could be even more epic. What if the bounty hunt involved actual detective skills, where you track your bounty based on clues? The current system could be replaced with assassinations (bad bounties). Having the Pinkerton Agency feature as a job-giver would be great too.

If a farm or something similar does feature again, it should have jobs associated with it, or even actual managing. I understand why many of you don't want "Farmville", but if it's there, there out to be a point to it (and the player wouldn't even have to work it themselves, they could higher laborers). The problem is this: in the Beecher's Hope series of missions, the only farming we saw John do was in missions. Otherwise, it was all hunting. When I played through one time, I role-played and try to have John be a family man during the last stretch of the game. But it didn't make sense how we spent all his day hunting when there was cattle driving to do. I would pay for a Farming DLC that lets us actually make use of Beecher's Hope, and if the protagonist does own property in the next game, then I hope there will be special activities for it.

I saw that in Call of Juarez, you can use a lasso to reach higher grounds. Since the lasso is currently a single-purpose tool (with a very narrow purpose), I would love to have it be used for climbing.

Music minigames would be neat. It would be nice if we could go into the wilderness, set up a campsite, and then play on a harmonica/guitar/fiddle, or sit down at a saloon piano (job?).

Melee is the one biggest disappointment in the game. Something similar to Assassin's Creed melee would be great, and it would be nice if we had, y'know, more than one/two melee weapons. Besides knives, there could be a cutlass, a dao (Chinese sword, presumably brought over by immigrants), a rapier (like Zorro), etcetera. And we could actually have good bar brawls: an unarmed system where you can handle any item. Bar brawls would be nice as Random Encounters or activities: suddenly a brawl randomly breaks out, like in the movies, or you can instigate one and try to survive in exchange for a Fame boost (and maybe other bonuses).

Stealth is the second-biggest disappointment, since John begins shouting out trash talk pretty much any time you try to stealthily kill enemies. A stealth system, crawling on the ground, and a bow and arrow (much suggested) would all be fine additions.

Well, I have a lot of suggestions, so be ready for a long post.

-First of all, and this is possibly my most wanted addition, is horses each with different personalities and traits. For example, some horses may be shyer than others and each individual acts differently. Each has it's own fitness level and natural "build" of the breed, and instead of horses that are a certain color being called a certain breed, each breed will come in a variety of colors (example: a quarter horse may have almost any color, just like in real life) and you can tell the difference between each breed by seeing the name of the breed in the corner when you mount up (like in gta.) Personalities will also be effected by where you get the horse. A horse you buy should always be more "tame" then a wild horse, even after a long time.

Taming a wild horse should also be harder. It should be a multi step, more realistic process. You should also be able to keep multiple horses in your barn (more on that later.)

You should also have to care for your horses and feed them. Not feeding them will cause them to starve, feeding them too much will cause them to become overweight and have health problems.  Giving them a good balance of food and exercise will make them fit. You should also have to brush them to make them trust you and to keep them clean. Adding these would make the game more realistic, and give you something to spend your money on.

-More to spend your money on. Ammo should be harder to get, and you should have to actually work and actually earn money to get by. More jobs would be nice too.

-TIGHTER CONTROLS are a must, especially for multiplayer. The controls themselves are good, but preforming actions is sometimes sloppy. For example, when being shot at,  my character will lean up against the building standing straight up instead of ducking behind the boxes in front of me. HELLO, do you want to be shot at?!

-As for the plot, I dunno. I find Jack very annoying, but if they made the  protoganist Landon Ricketts in his early years that would be awesome.

-A bigger map, maybe one that is based more on real world America. Maybe a condensed version of the southwestern us, with the Missouri river and the Rockies as the border. It would be cool to see a Los Angeles or New Orleans equivalent that we're roughly the same size as they actually were back then. That'd be cool.

-Missions with choices and a less linear format. That would offer more replayability.

-The ability to build your character more! I want to be able to own a ranch while fighting crime, or join a gang and terrorize everyone.

Red Dead Redemption was a great game, and with r*'s skill they can make the best game of all time in my opinion. I hope you all like my ideas, especially the first one (I'm such a horse freak lol :3)

A lot of fans want a sequel with Jack Marston or a prequel with Landon Ricketts. I just hope Rockstar does not choose to go that route.

It'd probably be a psychically satisfying bit of fan-service if they concocted a sequel where people get to gun down Jack Marston. I know lots of fans hate the kid.
