Thanks for the guide, No_Cause. It's helped me immensely, but I have one question:
I've successfully broken the two Horses of the Apocalypse War and Famine, and I'm looking for Pestilence in your suggested areas riding on Famine. I wanted to know if it's possible to find a Horse of the Apocalypse while riding another one, because I'm having trouble finding him. Finding War and Famine was surprisingly easy, as about a minute into searching for the both of them, I found their circles.

One other thing, when do you get the Blood Pacts to call on the horses? Is it after you tame Death? Or must you do something else?

1: Yes, it is possible to tame one horse while on the other. Try leaving the area and saving, I was having trouble with Pestilence and did that, found him right away.

2: After you tame Death you have to run over (exploding the heads of) all 4 kinds of undead I believe.

Nick pretty much answered your question for me Rovert

1. Yes you can find another HOTA while riding one. Like Nick said try leaving the area or loading a previous save

Thanks for the info. Now I'm torn. I've broken the Unicorn and enjoy the crapping-of-rainbows and butterflies, but I love Death and his cranial-explosion abilities. Is there any way to keep the Unicorn without having to go out and find another one if I want to switch my trusty stead?

I know other people had this bug, but, this mission called "Missing Souls" has a weird glitch. I did said mission, but on my way to twin rocks, i noticed the pleaseance house symbol on the map. And i checked the survivors list, and it said i hadnt completed it. Went to my stats, says i saved one person. So i went there, killed zombies, saved girl again, after the cutscene, she vanishes, and the list says i completed it :L so i reloaded and am currently avoiding said place. Well this affect 100%?

@Rovert- If you want to switch mounts its no worry because the unicorn can be found again in the same location. So its not that much of a hassle.

@Frank- Yes all the missing souls missions must be completed.

Help...
I've finished almost all of story line except killing Reyes and getting into the cave to return the mask..
I've found 3 horses so far (War,Famine, Pestilence) but couldn't find Death & Unicorn.. (I've finished rank 5 of Hunter, Sharpshooter, Treasure).. I've been searching around for these two horses for 3 hours with no lucks and couldn't find them..

Do I have to finish all of the story line (killing Reyes & putting undead mask) in order to get Death & Unicorn?

Anyway, I don't really like undead john after finishing all of the story line though.. Coz' he couldn't speak after his turning into an undead.. so I keep playing as john's alive... Is there anyway to revive him back to be a human except starting the new game?

Nice guide,helped me,but there's a problem.

Under Weapons-->Pistols-->High Power Pistol.
You can get it from a random encounter from that doctor with a gatling gun. Complete his quest 4-6 times and he will give you the HPP. I'll post proof if needed!

Oh right I remember this challenge, sorry for the mishap.

What I did was shoot a tree then immediately get out my tomahawks and started chucking them.

If that doesn't work look here
