I'm very disappointed in the poor decision making shown by part of the forum staff & I'm going to say it publiclly. Its as it relates to this thread: http://www.reddead.net/forums/thread-rds--24966
There was no naming / shaming, in fact no specific forum user or GT mentioned in the thread anywhere aside from OldBill's running nipple joke.
People relating stories of RDS misdeeds had been named at the point I began reading. I called it as I saw it. And now looking back it at i see almost a full page of edited posts, all from when I first viewed this topic while I was at work from my phone.
2.) Unban Notoriouz immediately
It is an absolute embarassment that we ban someone for 30 days for posting a U Mad? internet meme. Especially in a thread on that topic. His group, if they have something constructive to say, has every right to say it. He needs to be unbanned immediately.
Notoriouz's banning was based on his warning level, not by any personal feeling of mine. At the time his warning level was at 60% so a month was the next step. You say you want to hear what they have to say yet you clearly saw what they (he) wanted to say and what they usually always say, mostly something attempting to get a angry reaction. So there ya go there's their reaction, the rest have fucked up enough on this forum to get banned in some attempt to always have the final word over those they abuse.
3.) This is a serious topic that is a huge component of RDR multiplayer. It hijacks about 15 - 30 threads / month depending on the month. There needs to be a venue for the topic of RDS to be discussed. None of the discussion broke any forum rule: there was no flaming, none of it was inappropriate, and actually none of it was factually innacurate either. Like it or not the topic of RDS needs a place to be discussed, and a quick review of how many bans & locked threads have resulted due to this topic will show that its better to have that stuff contained to one place. I believe, but what do I know I haven't spent much time here, that we started the whole Forum Games section, then later the whole Politics Section, then later ... well you get my drift - for the exact same reason.
you really think the RDS issue hasn't been talked about enough? You all seem to agree their cheating assholes so why the need for more? Why you simply cannot stop talking about them is beyond me. Its been almost a year people, move on, enjoy the game however you can
I am immensely disappointed and I expect these 2 decisions reviewed and reversed - as they are plainly idiotic. And being a mod doesn't make you right when you make idiotic decisions. That's the reason I'm still on this forum, and would later go on to finish 2nd for Most Respected Member, after Toke perma-banned me a year ago. There is a legitimate discussion that needs to take place and was kept within the forum rules.
What can I say Valjean, at the time of your perma ban you were spamming me with PMs angry over a temp ban that you had recieved for verbally attacking someone who wanted to boost golden guns. Then you ban evaded PMd me angry again then begged your case before a admin and earned a perma ban as in accordance with forum rules you were new at the time so the admin gave you the benefit of the doubt. I even apologized to you later and made that sig your wearing now as a peace offering.
As far as keeping it withing forum rules, like I said people were in fact naming out specific RDS members who had wronged them which you in the opening post said you did want. I saw names and while typically I might have kept the thread open on any other topic I know, from experience here that RDS threads crash and burn, even the ones where the OP wants no flaming, it always devolves with or without mod involvement. So sorry if I didn't want history to repeat itself once again.

@Labelle-Matty's ban was based on his warning level. Trust me when I say I don't go around imposing 1 week bans for offenses unless their warning level designates it the next step. Elliot was warned, not banned because he had not said anything overly racist and as I related in the second to last paragraph above I decided to show leniency because he was new and from his posting habits perhaps not used to forum behavior and/or forum rules.
