seriously doubt it will be an actual nightmare. at least i sincerely hope it's not played out that way. that will cheapen things a lot and will make whatever story that is told and played be worthless. things like that are no different than the game makers flipping us off and laughing. there's got to be that feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction of a job well done. granted if it is in fact just a literal nightmare of john's, then i will still get it, play and i'll probably be fine. i'll still feel a little ripped off tough.

I want zombies to be more common in certain places. I would scratch my head if I saw 10 zombies wandering around bewildered in the mountains and the same amount nom nom nom'ing on flesh in Blackwater. Just a little request.

Are zombies more likely to be active in the blackness of a rainy night or in the scorching plains in the morning? That way you could plan when to travel from place to place. I, personally, would NOT like to travel from Thieve's Landing to Blackwater in pitch blackness while it's raining, I'd rather do that then get attacked by zombies.

If they add mythical creatures like Bigfoot and Werewolves, I want them to be REALLY hard to find. And also having only one creature roaming around at one time, and the only way of knowing which one was at large was by reading signs and newspapers. This would cause a competition between players in Free Roam to see who can capture the beast first.

I think it will be cool if there are zombie animals that you can kill. I think they should also make it so you have to shoot the zombies in the head or else they will not die. 8-)

I want blackwater to be made into this huge fort with cannons, gattling guns etc. with worried looking people wondering around the streets and wounded soldiers lieing around on stretches as doctors look after them.
And i want to see more troops and horses arriving at the Ferry docks. It would b sick to see blackwater all gloomy too, and to see Huge stone wallls and a big gate out the front with huge amount of american troops everywhere.

Maybe on the Great Plains there will always be zombies like attacking blackwater, like non stop so if your borred with missions you can just help the army kill some zombies by manning a cannon or something..

Because people like to say things like that. If there's one thing the internet has taught me it's that people love to say things sound dumb based on a one sentence description.
The thing about the undead is that you can use them anywhere. There have always been stories about dead people crawling out of their graves. It's a common campfire story. I mean if you can have stories about ghosts, banshees, vampires and werewolves all dating back to the 12th century or earlier I don't know why you can't have the dead rise in a game set during 1911. so what if you don't think it will fit into the feel of the original game. No one is making you buy it and no one is making you click on this thread which is full of people who are excited about it.

I have never and will never understand the notion of folks coming into a thread just to say they don't like a certain thing. I don't like Justin Bieber, but I bet you dollars to donuts I am going to lead a much happier life if I avoid any thread related to him and stick to threads related to my interests.

This will obviously be non-canon, just like how Nazi Zombies isn't canon in the COD games.

But it sounds fun as hell. :D

Here's what i want too see in this dlc.

People actually carrying firearms for protection.
Some towns lit up on fire.
New thunder and lightning. Lightning can actually strike you now.
Werewolf,bigfoot as the mythical creatures.
Tumbleweed should be haunted. Maybe add a ghost that appears on a certain day and time.
Zombie dogs that are at least the speed of a cougar xD.
And new campfire stories leading to easter eggs.

R* can either go for realism (Zombies are really slow and stupid) or not as realistic but more exciting (Zombies are fast and can do basic stuff)
Anyway can't wait! :P

I guess I will share my theory for how the Undead Nightmare story will be explained.

It will contain MASSIVE ENDGAME SPOILERS

First off, the description for the Undead Nightmare pack, as seen on the RDR Official Site:

Unleashed upon the world of Red Dead Redemption, the Undead Nightmare Pack will feature an entirely new mostly single-player campaign that follows John Marston as he tries to find a cure for the highly infectious zombie plague that has spread across the frontier.

Now, like a lot of people, at first I was kind of worried that this would tarnish the integrity of the Red Dead Redemption universe. But then I saw this on the most recent "Asked and Answered" on the Rockstar Newswire:

We love the world of Red Dead Redemption and wouldn’t do anything to sully it. While we respect your doubts, we ask you to trust us – when you play the game, you will understand what we have done and, we hope, why.

They didn't just outright say "it's set in an alternate universe", they seem to have some sort of secret they're holding about it. Now I thought about it for a bit, and came up with this.

What if after John's death, and after Jack gets revenge on Edgar Ross, he actually DOES become a writer. And what if "Undead Nightmare" is his first novel? He writes a fictional story , with the protagonist being John.

What do you guys think?
